I did it! I actually finished something I started. It feels so good to be able to say that. It feels even better to hear my little girl say “thank you mama” multiple times a day. She loves it and so do I. Now when I walk down the hallway I find myself being drawn to her room. Sometimes I’ll just go sit on her bed in awe. It is so beautiful! That may sound like I’m boasting but I am seriously so proud of myself. I mean look at this room y’all…
The day bed is from IKEA but I don’t think they sell this exact one anymore. (I found this one on Craigslist. It’s called HEMNES.)
I tried to include links to all the products I could, but the majority of items in this room were ones that I made myself or found on Craigslist and repurposed or upcycled. If you have a question about a particular item just let me know and I’ll try to help you find it.
I still need to hang the chandelier I made, but it requires some attic work in order to have it hanging where I want it. The only other thing I have left to do is to hang new curtains for her closet (when I find some that I actually like). Maybe one day I’ll save enough money to put new floors in our house too. But for now I’m just going to enjoy my hard work and wait patiently for the next One Room Challenge.
